Love Craft: How to Make a Hug

 

Now you can send your hunny a Hug in the mail! Great for long distance loves or a sweet craft idea to give to your "in the same city love".

Things You Will Need:

1 transparent margarine container lid
scissors
small ruler
black, thin tipped marker
various colored paints
varnish
holepuncher(optional)
fabric paint(optional)
your imagination!

Instructions:

1. Measure the dimensions of a clear margerine top with the rim cut off

2. Use a graphics program to type out the text in a size that will fit on the margarine top.

3. If you do not have a graphics program, or do not want to use one, you can write this out by hand.
   The text is:
   I want to send you something special but how in the world do I send you a HUG?

4. Place the lid over the printed/hand written text and trace it with the thin tipped marker. Use fabric paint to trace the word hug.

5. Punch a small hole in the top of the lid (so it can be hung if desired)

6. Paint the other side of the lid with whatever pattern and colors you want

7. Varnish the front and back to prevent smudging

8. Be creative, cut the lid out in the shape of a heart, or design it like a happy face, give it pipe cleaner arms and legs, etc.

9. Mail the hug to your partner or give it to them as a "just because" gift.
